About Us

Our New HP Scitex UV printer not only produces our signage faster and more efficiently, but is 100% environmentally friendly.

UV printers and UV inks allow direct-to-substrate production, reducing waste. Uv ink is cured by UV light and is ready to be shipped as soon as it comes off the printer.

With conventional ink , the printer lays the ink on a vinyl product with a plastic or paper backing. Once the ink is dry, the print has to be laminated and applied to the substrate. By printing directly to substrate, these additional steps are no longer required, thus eliminating all waste from the backing of vinyl and laminate which would otherwise end up in a landfill.

Additional ways that UV ink helps lessen the impact on the environment:

  • Contains up to 50% naturally-derived monomers and oligomers derived from renewable resources such as plants or biomas.
  • Contains virtually no volatile organic compounds (VOC).
  • Does not contain heavy metals such as antimony, arsenic, cadmium, chromium (VI), lead, mercury, and selenium.
  • Are non toxic, containing no known carcinogens, mutagenic's and non toxic to reproduction.
  • Complies with the Exclusion List for Printing Inks and Related Products (October 2006) issued by the European Printing Ink Association (EuPIA).
  • Are not considered a hazardous waste under the US waste regulations (RCRA).
  • The use of naturally-derived and organic substances in the ink increases the overall biodegradability of the printed matter.
  • Allows direct-to-substrates production, reducing the waste produced.
